24th May 2021
After our hugely popular Virtual Lakeland Trails events leading us back to the trails in 2021, what better way will there be to be inspired and motivated through next winter by a warm, welcoming group of Lakeland Trailers who'll be running with you (virtually) in an exclusive Facebook group?
We'll have brand new exclusive t-shirts for those of you who want them with the option of donating to our Tees for Trees initiative too
We'll be kicking things off with the Lakeland Trails Virtual Ultra for December motivation.
January will take things a few steps further with the entire Virtual Lakeland Trails Series, taking you on a single virtual journey along a route at each of the Lakeland Trails' venues.
In preparation for our real Spring events, we'll do our longest challenge Running to the Trails, starting in February.
Even if the days are short and the weather's not great, we can still share the joy of running and the community spirit that makes the Lakeland Trails so special to so many people, with the added motivation of trying keeping ahead of, or just keep up with, some of Team inov-8's trail running legends.
Will you choose the 55k or 100k, and if it's the latter kick it off with the traditional midnight start? Whichever you choose, you'll have three weeks to complete it... but you're welcome to keep going around as many times as you like (or can).
Virtual Lakeland Trails
A choice of route options to make one scenic (virtual) run through the Lake District National Park along with the Lakeland Trails' community, six weeks to complete.
The Longer One: 250k following the longer 14-18k Lakeland Trails' routes, the full Marathon and 100k Ultra (a totally achievable 4k a day)
The Shorter One: 150k following the 10k Lakeland Trails' routes, 1/2 Marathon and Ultra 55k
Which will you choose?
Run to the Trails
As the days get longer, so too will the routes as we find some of the more interesting trails to link up our events. We'll confirm the exact paths and distances nearer the time but we'll make sure there's an achievable challenge with two options.
