Set entirely within the stunning Leighton Hall estate in the Silverdale and Arnside Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, this is going to be epic!
The event will be run in the same way as all of our other events - family-friendly, welcoming, inclusive and fun! ...but expect some stiff competition if you want to cover the furthest distance!
We're going to let you be as flexible as you like with prizes up for grabs for those who travel the furthest, as well as spend the most time on their feet! Want to see how far you go by yourself?
Run for as long as you can with your bestie or other half as a tag team? Enjoy the camaraderie of taking turns with a group of friends or work colleagues? You'll be able to do that. Want to just run a lap or two and enjoy supporting everyone else - good choice!
The rules of the event are simple - run (or walk) when you want, for as long as you want over the 24 hours. However far you're planning, there's nothing stopping you from run that one extra lap so long as you're on the start line at 12pm!
There'll be plenty of things to occupy you when you're not running too.
The course is 5.75km long and we'll alternate the direction you run it in to avoid dizziness and to give you some variety.
Why not checkout the Youtube event video of our regular event in March to get a flavour of what to expect?
12:00pm
Opens Monday at 8pm
The challenge - keep yourself motivated to run as long as you want. Will you go for time on feet or total miles covered? Run through the night? Set yourself a challenge and see if you can exceed it! There's no pressure from us and you can choose when you run...as long as you're there at the start. Minimum Age: 18
12:00pm
Gather a group of friends, family, work colleagues or run club and take on the Team event. Are you going to be on the course non-stop, racking up the miles; or making it more of a social event taking to the course when you fancy and spending the rest of the weekend relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere? There's no pressure from us and you can choose when you run...as long as you're there at the start. The only thing is that it's just one person on the course at a time (until the celebration lap). Teams can be any size between 3 and 12 runners and the minimum age to take part is 16.
12:00pm
Find someone to run with and this one's for you. Take it in turns to run on the course (only one of you at each time) and keep each other motivated. It's up to you to decide who runs when, and for how long - so feel free to do multiple laps at a time before swapping over - great if one of you is a more experienced runner. There's no pressure from us and you can choose when you run...as long as you're there at the start. The only thing is that it's just one person on the course at a time (until the celebration lap). Minimum Age: 18
We've added all of the information you'll need to know before you enter in the 'accordians' below. Further, more comprehensive details will be added nearer the event.

Simple - join us on the start line at 12pm on Saturday to run or walk at least one or more lap. Then, decide when you start the next lap...if you want to.
We hope you'll set yourself a target and aim to meet or exceed it...but if your goal is to complete a single lap - that's your choice and we'll still clap you over the line!
The course is all within the Leighton Hall estate and does no go on public roads. It is a mixture of grass, packed trails and some gravelled sections. There are a couple of hills on the course and it passes through some wooded sections.
For variety, the course will alternate between clockwise and anti-clockwise every two hours.
The start / finish will be under our gantry in front of Leighton Hall - a great backdrop for photos.
You will have to enter and exit the course where directed so that your laps all count and we know if you're on the course.
Every runner will have a timing chip which they must wear whilst on the course. If you forget it, your lap will not count and will not be added in manually. If you are running as part of a pair or team, you will have your own chip and must ensure you use the correct one whilst running.
There will be a half-way timing point which must be crossed for a lap to be registered.
Live timing will be available throughout the event, showing the number of laps completed.
Prizes will be awarded for outright winners in Open and Vet categories. There will also be prizes for the people who have spent the most time on their feet, irrespective of how far they have covered.
There will be an option to add a medal to your order. We pride ourselves on operating sustainable events and we aim to minimise waste. If you choose not to order a medal, its cost will go to supporting Cumbria Wildlife Trust
Fresh water, VOOM electrolyte hydration drink and VOOM Pocket Rocket enegy cubes will be available at the start / finish and, during daylight hours at a waterstation station 1/2 way around the course.
We will have a range of caterers on site to keep you fuelled for the event. Leighton Hall Cafe will also be open at select times.
For your own safety and that of other runners, consumption of alcohol prior to running is strictly forbidden and will lead to disqualification.
Zeraffa the Giraffe will run with the Under 12s on both days.
Under 16 children of competitors will be able to take part for FREE, running a lap of the course on the Sunday morning.
Car parking will be available a short distance from the walk-on campsite and will be open from 8.30am on the Saturday morning.
You will only be able to leave the car park after you have finished your run. There will be no re-entry for competitors.
Car parks will be shut from 8pm to 7am
Our camping field will offer basic facilities - cold water and toilets. It is a walk-on site with car parking situated close by. As this is a running and walking event, it will be a quiet site with no loud music and no music at all between 10pm and 9pm.
Solo and Pair entries will have one allocated camping space.
Teams will have one allocated camping space per two participants.
No open fires or combustible materials permitted on the ground.
We'll have an exclusive hand-designed linocut-printed design for the event, with event t-shirts and hoodies available to order in advance. We'll publish the design as soon as it's been finalised.
Our new-for-2026 range of tees and hoodies with general designs will also be available.
ALL competitors on the course between the hours of 7pm and 7am must have a working headtorch (phone torches are not acceptable). Ensure it's fully charged before the event and make sure you know how to use it as bartteries will soon drain if on full power. If you're planning on running in the dark for several hours, you'll need a spare battery.
Trails shoes, a range of layers and a waterproof jacket are strongly advised. Check out the range from INOV8 for a great selection.
Spectators are welcome in the start finish area and within the area in front of the Hall. There will be a separate short-stay car parking area for which there will be a small charge to cover the cost of the stewards.
Spectators are able to bring supplies for competitors but must not accompany them on the course at any point. Competitors will be disqualified if they run or walk with any non-competitors.
We are awaiting confirmation from the Hall about dogs on site.
Dogs will not permitted on the course at any time and must not be left unattended at any point.
We will have medical cover for the duration of the from Advanced Life Support Medics. Competitor safety is of paramount important and they may intervene to withdraw competitors off the course if they determine they are medically unfit to continue e.g. from fatigue or injury
We'll have a live music performance at the start and finish of the event.
The amazing Pete Lashley will also perform before prize giving on the Sunday.
We're hoping to confirm some more performers shortly.
We'll have James Kirby at the start / finish line and around the course at various times during the event. As awesome as he is, we don't expect him to be able to do that for the full 24 hours but we'll make sure we capture as many of you as possible over the 24 hours with photos available for FREE as soon as possible.
There will be a range of important volunteering opportunities - car park / camping stewards; course marshals; t-shirt and medal hander outers...and more. We're grateful for everyone's support, especially those night owls!
We'll look after you and give you a free entry to one of our regular events as small gesture of appreciation.
