Ullswater - Race Day

Final details will be available from this page at least three weeks before the event, and start lists will be listed below. You can view a map of the 10km and 14km courses here along with a profile of the 14km course. Your entry fee includes the half hour cruise to the start in Howtown aboard the Ullswater Steamer "Raven". The start in Howtown will take place as soon as everyone has disembarked from the Steamer.

Mandatory Kit List - Cagoule, tights or over trousers, hat and gloves. The Ullswater Trail is unique and follows one of the most beautiful lakeside trails in the UK. Access is difficult for a large section of the route, and safety teams can only reach it by boat. For this reason, we have a mandatory safety kit list which you must bring with you (wearing or carrying). This will be checked before you board the Steamer, and we will be running spot checks at the finish.

Don't forget your start number is collected on race day from the registration marquee at Jenkins Field. Event car parking is at King George V Playing Fields (clearly signposted) a short, level 10 minute walk to our start/finish venue. Please do not use the public car parking at Ullswater Steamers - this is required for their regular passengers.
