The trail courses are well marked and marshalled journeys along footpaths and bridleways through some of the most scenic and beautiful countryside in Britain.
News : Start Lists and Final Details for Garburn are now available and tickets for the Lakeland Trails Party Night are on sale - only 53 places left (as of 10/05/08) Entries for the 12km Steamy Surprise on 2nd November and the NEW 15km Helvellyn Trail on 1st November are now open. Pre-entries for the NEW 5.5km Bridgedale Garburn Sport Trail on 31st May are still available until 17/05/08. The 15km Puma Coniston Trail Race & Challenge events are now over 95% full, please enter now to guarantee your place (10/05/08).
There is a PUMA Challenge setting off first for faster walkers and less competitive runners; this is closely followed by the Nordic Walking Challenge, then the competitive PUMA Trail Race sets off an hour or more afterwards, all three events following the same course.
An exciting and fun atmosphere is guaranteed for spectators and competitors alike. Live music with a race commentary and other entertainment's all make for a great day out for all the family.
Children's Fun Trails take place when most of the competitors are back from the Trail. These short fun runs for children under 12 are all about having a go. Finishers are rewarded with a specially engraved medal, and there are winner's prizes and spot prizes too.
A new Bridgedale Sport Trail is scheduled for each of the 2008 Lakeland Trails venues for everyone 12 years of age and older (approx. 4-5km)
