There are events on the day for all ages and abilities, from faster walkers to international standard athletes. The two main senior events, PUMA Hawkshead Trail Race and PUMA Hawkshead Challenge follow the same 15km course. The children's Hawkshead Fun Trails take place at the finish and set off when most people have finished the Hawkshead Trail.

(Start 14.00) For the more serious runner, a well marked and marshalled course with tough but runnable climbs and descents for those with off road running experience. Great prizes for the winners, a specially designed, quality event technical T shirt worth £20.00 for all finishers, and spot prizes too ! The time limit is 2 1/4 hours for the race and to enter you must be 16 or over.
PUMA Hawkshead Challenge 15km - Limit 400. (Start 13.15) An event for faster walkers, nordic walkers and less competitive runners. If you want to take it easy and enjoy the views, this is the one for you. A specially designed, quality event technical T shirt worth £20.00 for all finishers, and spot prizes too. There is a time limit of 3 1/4 hours for the Trail Challenge and to enter you must be 16 or over.Hawkshead Fun Trails (Start 16.30) Fun runs over short laps for all abilities of children under 12 within the finishing arena, where taking part is what matters most. Specially engraved medals to all the finishers and spot prizes too. No entry limit for children - they enter on the day !
