There are five events on the day, for all ages and abilities, from faster walkers to international standard athletes. The three main senior events, PUMA Trail Race, Challenge and Nordic Challenge all follow the same 24km course. The Bridgedale Sport Trail is approximately 5km, with the children's Fun Trails taking place at the finish on Staveley Recreation Ground in Staveley and setting off when most people have finished the Garburn Trail.

PUMA Garburn Trail Race 24km - Limit 600 (start 11.30) For the more serious runner, a well marked and marshalled course with fast, graded runnable climbs and descents for those with off road running experience. Prizes for the winners, a specially designed, quality event T shirt to all finishers, and spot prizes too ! The time limit is 2 3/4 hours for the race and to enter you must be 18 or over.
PUMA Garburn Challenge 24km - Limit 400 (start 09.30) An event for faster walkers and less competitive runners. If you want to take it easy and enjoy the views, this is the one for you. A specially designed, quality event T shirt for all finishers, and spot prizes too. There is a time limit of 4 3/4 hours for the Challenge and to enter you must be 18 or over.
Garburn Nordic Walking Challenge 24km (start 09.30) One of the first events in the UK for Nordic walkers. Nordic walking involves the use of special poles and you must bring these with you. There is a time limit of 4 3/4 hours and to enter you must be 18 or over.
Bridgedale Garburn Sport Trail 5km Limit 200 (start 15.30) A new event for everyone 12 years of age and older. This is a fitness walk, nordic walk, fun run and race all rolled into one. Perfect for novice and younger trail runners.
Garburn Fun Trails (start 16.30) Fun runs for all abilities of children under 12 within the finishing arena. Short laps for under 8's (400m), under 10's (800m) and under 12's (1000m), where having a go is the most important thing. Specially engraved medals to all the finishers, class winner's prizes for the first 3 boys and girls in each age class and spot prizes too. No entry limit for children - they can enter on the day too !
