There are events on the day for all ages and abilities, from faster walkers to international standard athletes. The two main senior events, the PUMA Kentmere Trail Race and the PUMA Kentmere Challenge both follow the same 17km course. The children's Fun Trails take place at the finish on Staveley Recreation Ground in Staveley and set off at 12.30pm, before the seniors set off on the Kentmere Trail.

PUMA Kentmere Trail Race 17km - Limit 600 (start 14.00) For the more serious runner, a well marked and marshalled course with fast, graded runnable climbs and descents for those with off road running experience. Prizes for the winners, a specially designed, quality Lakeland Trails technical T shirt worth £20.00 to all finishers, and spot prizes too ! The time limit is 2 1/2 hours for the race and to enter you must be 16 or over.
PUMA Kentmere Challenge 17km - Limit 400 (start 13.00) An event for faster walkers, nordic walkers and less competitive runners. If you want to take it easy and enjoy the views, this is the one for you. A specially designed, quality event T shirt for all finishers, and spot prizes too. There is a time limit of 3 1/2 hours for the Challenge and to enter you must be 16 or over.
Fun Trails (start 12.30) Fun runs for all abilities of children under 12 within the finishing arena. Short laps where having a go is the most important thing. Specially engraved medals to all the finishers. No entry limit for children and they enter on the day
