The entry fees help us improve all aspects of the event, in particular safety on the course, increased marshalling (we pay local charities a bursary to provide us with all our marshals) and entertainments, to give you not just a great race through mountain scenery, but also a great day out for you, your friends and family. Cancellation, Transfers & Refund Policy
Transfers of individual entries between different events within the Spring & Autumn Series, ie from the Cartmel Trail Race to the Derwentwater Trail Race, will be permitted providing we are informed by email at least 4 weeks before the event
Transfers of individual entries between events on the same day – ie from the Trail Race to the Challenge, will be permitted providing we are informed by email at least 4 weeks before the event
Entry changes, transfers and deferments within 4 weeks of the event will be subject to a £5 administration fee
No changes, transfers or deferments permitted within 2 weeks of the event
Your entry and number is individual to you and is non-transferable and non-refundable. Competitors using someone else’s number can have serious consequences in the event of a medical emergency. The accuracy of the race results is also affected when competitors are placed in the wrong event, age or sex category. Any competitor using someone else’s number will be disqualified.
Duplicate entries made in genuine error will be refunded in full.
Only a partial refund will be given if the event is forced to be cancelled or postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, for instance by order of the Government or landowners due to Foot and Mouth disease.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel entry applications, or alter the date of the event, the course route or the distance.
To count in the Lakeland Trails Spring Series™ 2011, you must complete at least 2 of the Trails (Cartmel, Hawkshead & Kentmere).
To count in the Lakeland Trails Autumn Series™ 2011, you must complete at least 2 of the Trails (Derwentwater, Coniston & Helvellyn).
Points are awarded to all finishers (Challenge, Trail Race & 10km), based on their finishing times. The fastest man and woman in the Trail Race & Challenge will receive 1000 points, with the following 2nd fastest receiving 999, the third 998 and so on. The points earned by the 10km runners will follow on from the last finisher of the Trail Race & Challenge - the idea is that all finishers will be allocated points.
The Lakeland Trails Spring Series™ 2011 & Lakeland Trails Autumn Series™ 2011 ranking lists will be posted on the Lakeland Trails™ pages of the website, immediately after each event. Although the Challenge and 10km events are essentially non-competitive, your finishing times will still qualify you for ranking points.
The Lakeland Trails Spring Series™ 2011 & Lakeland Trails Autumn Series™ 2011 class winner will be the person with the most number of points after all four events in their respective class. Points earned from all three events will be used.
Prizes will be awarded to all class winners (Men & Women's Open, V40, V50, V60 & V70). The 2011 Lakeland Trails Spring Series™ prize giving will take place after the last event on 4th June. The Lakeland Trails Autumn Series™ 2011 prize giving will take place after the last event on 5th November.
